ALK (ALKANE RESOURCES LIMITED) 2008-09-30:
Alkane Resources announced that RC and diamond core drilling have continued and results have been received for two core holes and seven RC holes at the McPhillamys Prospect. Significant intersections include: KPD005 - 201m @ 0.93g/t Au from 229m incl 3m @ 8.25g/t Au from 299m; and KP102 - 19m @ 0.81g/t Au from 119m incl 5m @ 1.78g/t Au from 127m. The results available have confirmed the plus 0.5g/t Au mineralisation extends over a north south strike of at least 600m with widths up to 200m.
