CTP (CENTRAL PETROLEUM LIMITED) 2008-10-15:
Central Petroleum provided Simpson 1 drilling report, reporting as at 0600 on 15 October 2008, the well had reached a current depth of 1,989m in sandstones with minor siltstones, claystones and coals in the Purni Formation. 7m of coal had been intersected from 1,868-1,875m with peak gas increasing to 8 units over this interval over a background of 1-2 units (100ppm = 1 unit).
