NAV (NAVIGATOR RESOURCES LIMITED) 2008-10-29:
Navigator Resources announced extensive RC drilling at Cardinia area confirms a significant shallow gold discovery. The Company announced that a shallow open pit at least 2km in length and up to 400m in width is expected with low waste to ore ratios and little or no need for blasting; detailed RC grade control drilling indicates good continuity; gold system more widespread than originally thought with excellent potential for further extensions - revised resource estimates underway with further drilling planned; and mining plans in the Company's pre-feasibility study is now being reassessed - the base case is an initial Cardinia-based Stage 1, 5 year, 1Mtpa oxide open pit development with first production in late 2009.
