Minemakers announced that yesterday (8 July 2009) Bonaparte Diamond Mines announced a significant advance towards feasibility evaluation of the Meob/Sandpiper marine phosphate jv in offshore Namibia. Within EPL3323, an Inferred resource of 238Mt @ 18.1% had previously been estimated and announced by Bonaparte, and a 9.4kmsq sub area has been subsequently subject to detailed infill sampling this year. Within that sub-area, an Indicated resource estimate of 12.2Mt @ 20.5% P2O5 was announced yesterday and it is generally open at depth. The infill sampling resulted in that higher confidence resource estimation category, a verification of tonnage and a lift in grade by about 13%.
