Galaxy Resources announced positive results from a Pre-feasibility Study into downstream processing of lithium carbonate from its Mt Cattlin Lithium-Tantalum project near Ravensthorpe. The Company announced that Net Present Value of the project ranges between $310m to $360m, close to a three-fold increase from "sale of spodumene only" study; results indicate that the project economics could be improved by locating the lithium chemical plant closer to lithium carbonate end markets and lower associated capital and operating costs; the Company is now in the process of investigating potential sites in China for the lithium chemical plant to process concentrate from Ravensthorpe; and the Chinese DFS for lithium carbonate processing is expected to be completed by end of Q3 2009.

A-Cap Resources announced that new geochemical assay data has been received for the Calcrete mineralisation at Mokobaesi which suggests significant U3O8 grade upside over the previous (June 2008) calcrete resource. The Company announced a 5,000m Resource Definition drilling program has commenced at the Gorgon Prospect with the objective of moving the Resource from Inferred to Indicated status; a 6,000m exploration drilling program on areas outside the currently quantified resource base is also planed to commence during this quarter; and drilling at Serule will follow up on high grade zones discovered at Serule during exploration in 2008 with the objective of growing this resource and the global uranium mineralisation at Letlhakane.

Cape Lambert Iron Ore announced that metallurgical test results have now been received for a bulk, composite sample of historical hematite tailings located at the Marampa Project. The Company announced that a test regime comprising wet, high intensity magnetic separation for roughing and cleaning and reverse flotation cleaning of the middlings fraction produced a high-grade concentrate suitable for the manufacture of blast furnace feed pellets; the hematite concentrate produced from the tailings graded 65% iron and 3.9% silica for a mass and iron recovery of 46% and 91.6% respectively; and air core drilling of the tailings commenced in late March 2009, and drill samples will be used to prepare a representative bulk tailings sample for follow-up bench scale metallurgical test work in Australia.

Cockatoo Coal announced that in-house review and modelling of the previously announced results from the 2008 Stage 1 drilling program has been completed and a JORC Indicated Resource of 15.64Mt has been defined. The Company announced that JORC Indicated resource includes a strip ratio of 8.8:1 over a total area of 109 ha to a depth of 175m from surface; resource area is currently open to the north, east and south, demanding further drilling to expand the resource in the coming weeks; resource area is 2km along strike to the north of the Baralaba coal mine and displays consistent geology, coal seams and coal quality to that of the Baralaba mine; and initial raw coal quality results are encouraging and warrant further core drilling and analysis that has now commenced.

The Company announced that drilling beneath the northern end of the PQ pit at Que River has yielded further high grade gold, silver and base metal assay results including: 6.6m 4.0 g/t Au, 465 g/t Ag, 24.2% Zn, 11.6% Pb and 0.7% Cu; and 7.9m @ 5.1 g/t Au, 250 g/t Ag, 18.8% Zn, 10.3% Pb, and 0.5% Cu. The Company announced that the drilling has confirmed the target zone previously estimated to have potential for 40,000 to 60,000t of PQ style mineralisation; and Ore Payment Factors for the remainder of the Que River Ore Sales contract have been finalised with OZ Minerals, resulting in lower payability for contained copper, lead and zinc with gold and silver remaining the same.

PEX (PEEL EXPLORATION LIMITED) 2009-04-02:
Peel Exploration announced further positive exploration results from its Attunga project located in the New England region of NSW. TEM (transient electromagnetics) geophysical results suggest that there is a moderate, shallow conductor, centred approx. 200m north of the historic Attunga Copper Mine workings. The anomalous TEM conductor, with an actual peak decay constant in excess of four milliseconds, occurs as a linear double peaked response beginning about 100m north of historic workings and continuing north for a further 200m. The double peaked response is considered most likely due to a steeply easterly dipping conductor. The sharpness of the response indicates a source from less than 100m depth. Results also suggest that there are significant EM negative effects, probably from an IP response running further north of the anomalous conductor. Peel plans to drill test the peak anomalous zones in the upcoming drill campaign.
